Henderson played a one-two with Reds club-mate Raheem Sterling on the edge of the box and the ball sat up perfectly for him to unleash a powerful drive goalwards.
And the shot sailed beyond the dive of Joe Hart and into the net, leaving the watching guests at the national football centre gasping.
The 24-year-old, who has 15 England caps, is yet to score for his country but, with two games this week, may have the chance to open his account.
