Former Chelsea Sporting Director, Frank Arnesen, is among a host of top names set to present at the first ever FA Licensed Coaches’ Club Talent ID Conference at St. George’s Park on Friday 5 December.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Hamburger SV Sporting Director will join fellow leading figures in human performance and talent identification, including Lee Congerton, Sunderland AFC Sporting Director, and world-renowned expert on performance development and author of The Gold Mine Effect, Rasmus Ankersen, for a day focused on the difference between performance and potential.
It’s a line-up that Mike Rigg, The FA’s Head of Talent Identification and the driving force behind the event, believes will provide delegates with an experience that will educate as well as challenge views on the how we select potential stars of the future.
“This is an excellent opportunity to bring together everyone involved in Talent Identification,” he said.
“This conference is the first of its kind and we hope it will challenge everyone with an interest in Talent Identification and the Leadership of Talent to view this from many different angles.”
Rigg, who joined The FA in 2013, is responsible for overseeing and aligning talent identification at all age groups, co-ordinating opposition analysis and devising a talent identification pathway.
He is confident that with such a diverse range of speakers set to present throughout the course of the day, delegates will find plenty to take home with them.
He said: “From the worldwide research of the talent goldmines to the vast experiences gained from life in the heart of German football, there will be something here to inspire everyone.”
The 2014 Talent ID conference forms part of The FA Licensed Coaches’ Club’s Conference event programme, which runs throughout the 2014/15 season.
