Winning team receives £2,500 from The FA prize fund
The much-travelled Ormerod, who three years ago played in the Premier League for Blackpool, was signed by Padiham as a free agent last month.
And the 38-year-old had a dramatic impact on Wednesday night for the team from Lancashire – following last weekend's goalless draw.
Ryan Hutchinson and Anthony Bowsley were the scorers for Brigg Town, one of the oldest sides in football, of the Northern Premier League Division One South.
Padiham and Ormerod's reward for their impressive win is an away tie to FC United of Manchester in First Round Qualifying on Saturday 1 November.
