Goals galore in FA Trophy Preliminary Round replays

There were 20 FA Trophy replays on Tuesday night

There were 20 clubs battling it out in FA Trophy Preliminary Round replays on Tuesday with £2,500 and a place in the next round up for grabs.

Isthmian League Division One outfit Walton Casuals – whose caretaker manager is former West Ham United defender Tony Gale – were in the goals.

They claimed a resounding 6-1 away victory over league rivals East Grinstead Town at the GAC Stadium, following their goalless draw in Surrey at the weekend.

After their 2-2 deadlock on Saturday, Market Drayton Town booked their place in the First Round Qualifying with a 3-0 away win over Rainworth MW at the Welfare Ground in Mansfield.

Meanwhile, Southern League Division One South and West side AFC Totton ensured it was second time lucky with a 3-1 success over Cinderford Town - making amends for a glut of missed chances by the Stags in the recent 1-1 draw between the two teams.

Something had to give between Merthyr Town and Southern League Division One South and West Side rivals Taunton Town. The Martyrs from south Wales managed to progress with a slender 1-0 victory at Penydarren Park.

Brentwood Town triumphed as Mark Warburton's men ground out a 2-1 win against Redhill at the Kiln Brow stadium. Meanwhile, Royston Town cruised to a 4-1 success over Southern League Division One Central divisional rivals Potters Bar Town at Garden Park.

Leighton Town ran out comfortable 3-1 winners against Isthmian League Division One South club Corinthian Casuals at King Georges Field, following their thrilling 3-3 draw at the weekend.

Elsewhere, Southern League Division One central side AFC Hayes lost 1-0 at Farm Park to league rivals Chalfont St Peter AFC.

In a late finish, Uxbridge won 4-3 on penalties to see off Romford, following a 1-1 draw at the Honeycroft in West Drayton.

Bamber Bridge and Lancaster City will have to re-arrange their replay after their match was called off due to structural damage caused by adverse weather conditions at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
