Three potential FA WSL champions have spoken of their excitement as the season approaches a thrilling climax.
With just four points between the top three Birmingham City's Remi Allen, Liverpool's Gemma Bonner and Chelsea's Hannah Blundell are all in contention to lift the crown.
And all have said they are relishing the challenge as they approach the business end of the season.
Allen has squeezed a lot into her young career but the Blues midfielder is thrilled to be involved in her first proper title race.
Gemma Bonner has already tasted title success in 2013-14
Allen was just 18 when she helped England U19s lift the European Championship in 2009, and she’s already tasted Champions League football with Blues this season.
But with City just two points behind leaders Chelsea with three games to play, the former Leeds starlet insists it is all to play for.
“It’s exciting, anyone would want to be part of the title race,” said the 23-year-old. “It is my first title race, and it’s really exciting to be a part of.
“It’s high pressure but that’s the reason why you play football, to be involved in games and situations like this.
“The way we look at the remaining three games is we want to enjoy it, when we enjoy our football we are more likely to win games.”
Birmingham lost ground last time out against Everton, drawing 0-0 with the bottom side, while third-placed Liverpool also drew with the struggling Toffees in their previous WSL 1 outing.
The Reds are reigning champions and sit four points adrift of pace-setters Chelsea, but defender Gemma Bonner says last year’s title success should stand them in good stead.

“Everyone’s upbeat because it’s still in our hands with results that have been and gone recently,” said Bonner, whose side take on Birmingham this Sunday in a crunch clash.
“The positive we can also take is we’ve done this before, we’ve got the experience under our belts of a title race and we can use that to our advantage as it gets tight and nervy this time.
“Teams will drop points, all we can focus on is getting nine points and we can’t finish the season thinking ‘what if’.
“It will be tight and whoever wins it, no matter who, it will go down to the wire, but we need maximum points if possible.”
Chelsea know three wins will secure their first FA WSL crown, but Blundell is refusing to get carried away.
“Of course we’re going to get a little excited with the position that we’re in, but we’re making sure we’re focused on the job,” said the defender.
“We are really happy with our season and to go from where we were last season (seventh) to where we are now is great.”
