Jamie Sherwood is the new manager of Yeovil Town Ladies.
The former Cardiff City Ladies boss had been in charge of the Glovers on a temporary basis after Sarah Lawler announced she would be stepping down from the hotseat.
Sherwood said: “This is a club which has an excellent pedigree and it's potential within The FA WSL is exciting and I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to be its first-team manager.
“We have a very competitive squad with top-class talent and I am looking forward to continuing the work we have already started.
“The challenge for us all now is to build on this work and aspire to be an FA WSL 1 club.
“We are determined to give the supporters the kind of attacking football and success that we are all looking to achieve.
“To be manager of this club is a dream come true as it shares my philosophy, values and principles and I believe we both can grow and develop the whole club to achieve its fullest and become the best women's football club in the south west.”
Sherwood led Cardiff City to last season’s FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division Championship and The Final of The FA Women’s Premier League Cup, where they lost 6-2 to Sheffield.
