Arsene Wenger says that it is only a matter of time before Danny Welbeck develops into a consistent Premier League goal-getter.
While Welbeck's record in front of goal for England has been solid, scoring 10 times in 28 appearances and twice in this month's win in Switzerland, he has been less prolific at club level, often playing on the wing.
But Wenger intends to use Welbeck in a central role, and was happy to see the 23-year-old open his account against Aston Villa on Saturday.
"He has played wide at Manchester United, never through the middle," he said.
"[When you play wide] you can lose a little bit of that instinct to score and also that pressure, which is a bit animalistic.

"You need to be in the middle and wait for your chance to kill the opponent. On the flank you have less of that responsibility."
Wenger continued: "He has a good mentality, good physical potential, technical potential and he contributes to our team play because he doesn't lose the ball and those are important qualities.
"It's not a question of potential, it is more a nervous problem because in training he scores goals like a real striker."
