The FA is giving you the chance to shine a light on someone who has had a profound affect on women’s football in this country.
We want your nominations for the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Women's Football’ award that will be presented at the annual Women’s Football Awards on Friday 14 November.
The award is not just open to players, but to coaches, administrators, referees, volunteers; anyone that has made a recognisable contribution to the women’s game.
Your nomination can be for someone who has excelled in helping the sport grow, donated years of service to a club or organisation, or it could be for someone who has recently retired from the game.
In 2013 the award went to Dawn Barnard MBE, a volunteer who has been at the forefront of developing girls’ and women’s football in Essex for almost 30 years.

We are also welcoming nominations for our ‘Love Football Play Football’ Participation award.
This award recognises the success of grassroots football development programmes that have inspired women and girls to play football.
Nominations are welcome from any organisation that has delivered a programme to increase participation. Entries should highlight:
- Numbers and ages of participants engaged in the programme
- Innovation used to recruit and retain players
- Exit routes developed to ensure players continue to play
- Partnership work
- Female coach, official, volunteer and young leadership development
- Using both female and male players as role models.
