Peterborough Sports waited 93 years to return to the Emirates FA Cup and it was a winning return thanks to Avelino Vieira.
Sports last featured in The FA Cup way back in 1922, under the name Brotherhoods Engineering Works, and were pitted in this year’s extra preliminary round away to Eynesbury Rovers.
Former Corby Town man Vieira struck for the visitors after just 15 minutes and it stayed that way, earning Sports a place in the next round.

Elsewhere Cleethorpes Town put an emphatic end to Brigg Town’s record of never having left the competition at this stage.
In 78 previous appearances in the competition, Brigg had never fallen at this early hurdle, but they couldn’t make it 79.
Inspired by man-of-the-match Caine Winfarrah, Cleethorpes cantered to a 5-1 win with goals from Brody Robertson, Peter Winn, Marc Cooper, Danny Trott and Jonathan Oglesby.
Steve Harmison’s Ashington side salvaged a draw – and with it a midweek replay – despite having held the lead against Albion Sports.
These two sides met in the extra preliminary round last year, when Ashington came from behind to clinch a 2-1 win but they took the lead on home soil this time around, through the manager’s brother, James Harmison.
Sports turned the game in its head with two second-half goals, only for the hosts to grab a draw in added time and an away replay on Wednesday.
Biggleswade United, however, will not need a replay to proceed to the preliminary round after they came from behind to beat Desborough Town.
Luke Cummins put Desborough ahead after 20 minutes and Biggleswade, who boast world-renowned Spanish journalist Guillem Balague as their director of football, went into half-time behind.
They levelled things up after 65 minutes through Adam Drakulic’s 25-yard strike before the scorer turned provider, crossing for Nyasha Sagwete to bundle home the winner 10 minutes from time.
Wincanton Town had to wait 125 years to feature in the Emirates FA Cup and they are not out of it yet. The Somerset club – founded in 1890 and making their debut in the competition – earned a home replay with Whitchurch United after a 1-1 draw.
Melford Simpson ran riot for Shoreham, finding the net an incredible six times as they cruised to an 8-0 victory over St Francis Rangers.
And AFC Liverpool capped off a hectic afternoon at Chadderton in style with an eye-catching goal from Steven Jones – his fourth of the afternoon.
The visitors were already home and hosed when Chadderton pulled two back to make it 8-2 late on, only for Jones to fire goalwards straight from the second restart and make it nine.
