The senior England squad announcement for matches against San Marino and Switzerland will not take place on Tuesday as planned.

Instead a squad announcement will take place on the evening of Sunday 30 August (time TBC). Therefore there will be no media conference to announce the squad on this occasion.
England manager Roy Hodgson said: “After meeting with my coaching staff today we have decided to wait until this Sunday before announcing the squad to face San Marino and Switzerland.
“We have a large number of players that still need confirming regarding availability and fitness so rather than selecting a larger squad now, we will wait for the games at the weekend before choosing around 23 players who are definitely available.”

Gareth Southgate’s Under-21s squad announcement will take place on Tuesday at 11am from Preston North End Community Soccer School.
The Young Lions face USA U23s at Deepdale on Thursday 3 September, kick-off 7.45pm.
