The achievements of the England Women’s team at the World Cup are set to be recognised at this year’s FA Women’s Football Awards.
The awards, which celebrate the best of international and domestic women’s football, will take place at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Friday 4 December.
England finished third at Canada 2015, their highest ever finish, beating Germany 1-0 in the bronze medal match.

The awards will also celebrate player, manager and club achievements across The FA Women’s Super League (FA WSL) and FA Women’s Premier League (FA WPL).
England Player of the Year, Youth Player of the Year and Goal of the Year will be voted for by the public, with the shortlists to be announced closer to the time.
Women’s and girls’ grassroots football will also be recognised with a We Can Play category and there will be an Outstanding Contribution to Women’s Football award.
Kelly Simmons, FA football participation and development director, said: “It has been a remarkable year for women’s football with landmark moments happening across the game.
“There have been so many highlights, from the first ever Women’s FA Cup Final to take place at Wembley, to record crowds in The FA WSL and the success of participation campaigns such as We Can Play.
“The awards are the perfect opportunity to celebrate all the hard work taking place in the women’s game across the country, at all levels, on and off the pitch.
“And of course, we can again enjoy the fantastic achievements of our Lionesses in Canada where they really caught the imagination of the country and pushed interest in and awareness of women’s football to new levels.”
They face Estonia in Tallinn on 21 September in their opening match.
Tickets for the Bosnia game are available now priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available at £10 and group booking discounts apply.
Tickets are available from tickets.bristol-sport.co.uk or by calling 01179 630 600.
With only three games to go, Chelsea are leading the way in this year’s FA WSL 1 title race, closely followed by Sunderland and Manchester City.
In FA WSL 2, Doncaster Rovers Belles and Reading sit comfortably in the promotion spots, with Yeovil Town eight points behind in third.
