The Hillmen suffered heartbreak at Wembley back in May, as they lost out to North Shields in the FA Vase final in search of an historic treble having already won the North West Counties Premier Division and the League Challenge Cup.
But it was far from comfortable for the Derbyshire side as Tom Bailey and Jamie Rainford both netted inside the final five minutes to turn the tie on its head.
After falling behind to Rob Doran’s sublime free-kick against the run of play midway through the first half, Glossop dominated the contest and missed a host of gilt-edged chances. After seeing three goals ruled out for offside, the Hillmen finally broke through in dramatic fashion, Bailey the man who was in the right place at the right time.

And when Rainford slotted the ball through Jack Cookson’s legs in time added on the tie was theirs.
Meanwhile, Street’s hopes of another stint in the Emirates FA Cup main draw are over for another year after a 2-1 defeat at home to Witheridge.
Lowly Street made the first round of the competition way back in 1938, but the visitors surged into a two-goal lead in the second half after Harry Taylor’s sweet half-volley and an unlucky own goal.
Kai Fisher powered his header against the bar and it rebounded in off the ill-fated Street keeper, and Steve Avery’s injury-time own goal was no more than a consolation for the Cobblers.
And there was to be no triumph over his former club for Kings Langley manager Ritchie Hanlon, as his side we edged out 1-0 at home by AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
Despite there being few clear-cut chances, this was an entertaining and high-quality contest at Gaywood Park and Rushden had to survive a late onslaught to make sure of their progress.
Both Ollie Cox and Gary Connolly went close for the hosts, while Diamonds had a Tommy Berwick header ruled out for handball in the first half.
But they did take the lead ten minutes after the restart, when Dan Quigley was on hand to turn the ball in after Sam Brown’s huge throw caught out Kings’ defence.
Stuart Deaton headed just wide as Kings applied the late pressure, but Rushden just about held on.
Elsewhere there were heavy victories for Runcorn Linnets who beat Pontefract Collieries 6-0, Molesey who routed East Grinstead Town 7-1, North Leigh who romped to a 7-0 win over Cove, and also South Park who demolished the unfortunate Holmesdale 10-1.
But the tie of the round was at Newmarket Town, where Peterborough Sports defeated their hosts 5-3 in a back-and-forth game.
The visitors raced into a 3-0 lead, but after the Jockeys hauled themselves back to level the remarkable game, Avelino Vierra and Jordan MacLeod struck again dump them out.
