FA Youth Cup
Third round proper
Wednesday 9 December 2015
Worthing had come through a seven-goal thriller at Biggleswade Town in the previous round but their run came to an end at the hands of Boro, who entered the competition at the third-round stage, in front of an impressive home crowd of 1,154.
Some of those supporters might not have taken their seats yet, however, when Lee Hetherington put Middlesbrough ahead inside just two minutes, turning on the edge of the area to fire home.
Curry doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark, side-footing beyond the Worthing goalkeeper after he was found by captain Alex Pattison’s pull back.
And the scoring was complete 25 minutes from time, when Curry outpaced his marker down the left before turning towards goal and firing into the top corner.
