Wayne Rooney slots home his record-breaking penalty
Wayne Rooney goes into this Christmas very much at the top of the England goalscoring tree.
His record 51 goals took 12 years in the making, while Sir Bobby Charlton's previous high of 49 had stood for 45 years.
Wembley Stadium held its collective breath when Rooney had the golden opportunity to score his 50th England goal from the penalty spot against Switzerland – and the Three Llions skipper delivered once again.
