Alan Pardew takes his Crystal Palace side into FA Cup action against Liverpool on Saturday evening – a tie which will always be synonymous with the name of the Eagles boss.
The clubs met in a classic semi-final at Villa Park in 1990, with Pardew netting an extra-time winner for the south London side to seal a memorable 4-3 win.

And you can now re-live that thrilling tie with our FATV highlights of the game, which saw Steve Coppell's Eagles out-smart Kenny Dalglish's side, who were the dominant force in English football at the time.
It started so well for the Reds too, as Ian Rush put Liverpool ahead in the first half after Pardew was dispossessed in midfield.
But Mark Bright levelled things up early in the second half with a thumping left-foot volley, before defender Gary O'Reilly struck Palace in front by smashing home a close range shot with 20 minutes left.
Liverpool didn't lie down and Steve McMahon equalised for the men from Anfield before they were back in front in the 83rd minute, when Steve Staunton was felled in the box for a penalty, which John Barnes put away.
That looked to have been the winner, but Palace midfielder Andy Gray had other ideas and headed the Eagles level in the 88th minute to take the game to extra time.
And it was left to Pardew to complete one of the most memorable semi-finals by scoring the winner from close range to send Palace to Wembley for the Final.
Now, nearly 25 years later, will Pardew be able to help Palace to Cup victory from the sidelines? All will be revealed on Saturday evening when they meet at Selhurst Park, live on BT Sport.
