Andrew Davies celebrates with his Bradford team-mates at Stamford Bridge

Three weeks ago Bradford City delivered one of the greatest shocks of FA Cup history by defeating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

And on Sunday they were at it again as they sent another Premier League team, Sunderland, crashing out of the competition with a 2-0 win to reach The Sixth Round.

The Bantams are no strangers to getting their claws into top-flight opponents. In 2013 they reached the League Cup final, defeating Arsenal, Wigan and Aston Villa over two legs on their route to Wembley.

So who are the characters who make third-tier Bradford such dangerous cup opponents?

We asked former Middlesbrough, Southampton and England Under-21s defender Andrew Davies to run the rule on his team-mates at Valley Parade.

Phil Parkinson: Manager
"Very hard-working in his job, always travelling up and down to watch teams and players. He can go off his head on the sideline because he wants to win so much, and all the lads have a good laugh about that.

He's someone who I have got on with very well. When he took over we were third-bottom in League Two and now we are in the top six in League One. That shows what a good job he has done."

Ben Williams: Goalkeeper
"He's a very good goalkeeper actually who has done fantastic when he has come in. He's always in the gym doing weights and likes to walk around without his shirt on, tensing his pecs."

Stephen Darby: Right-back and captain
"He is the busiest player I have ever played with. He's always around the training ground filling in forms or whatever, and in the manager's office every day.

"He wants to have his hands on everything. You could say he is the new Gary Neville in that respect. The lads give him a bit of stick but he is a great lad and a great captain."

Andrew Davies: Centre-back
"I suppose you'd say I'm daft as a brush off the pitch, but when I step on it I'm a leader. I give my all every week and try to be as honest as I can be."

Rory McArdle: Defender
"I've played alongside him for a long time. He's a good friend of mine and I'm going on his stag do. I keep saying to him 'keep heading the ball and we'll go to Magaluf in the summer'.

Christopher Routis: Defender
"He hasn't played a lot but even when he is not in the team, he has been great around the boys. He's rates himself as a ladies man but he's not at all."

James Meredith: Left-back
"I play next to him. He's a fantastic player who gets up and down the wing – but I've always got to get an early night's sleep when I do because he switches off sometimes.

"He's an Australian with a very dry sense of humour and a really nice lad. He's superstitious too.

"He likes to go for a wee before we go out for a warm-up and no-one can find him."

Alan Sheehan: Left-back
"Another honest player. He is Irish and a good-looking lad. He's very popular with the ladies and his accent always puts him in good stead."

Gary Liddle: Midfielder
"A good friend of mine who I grew up with playing for Middlesbrough.

"Very, very boring. He hardly speaks! But a very good player who I enjoy playing alongside."

Jason Kennedy: Midfielder
"Jason came through at Boro with me. He is very shy and we say he looks like a vicar in the way he dresses. He's dour but a great lad and a close friend of mine."

Bradford's Billy Knott celebrates his goal at Millwall

Billy Knott: Midfielder
"A young lad who came through at Chelsea. He's a very good player with a great left foot and a lot of ability.

"Whatever his missus says he does, and he gets a bit of stick for that from the lads."

Filipe Morais: Midfielder
"We call him Phil because he's Portuguese but seems as English as they come.

"He's a fantastic player who came through the ranks at Chelsea and has been brilliant for us.

"He's very quick and direct and crosses the ball well. He goes about his business on the training ground well. He's a fantastic professional."

Andy Halliday: Midfielder
"A terrific player with a fantastic left foot. He works hard and gets stuck in in the middle of the park.

"He loves his music and decides what goes on in the dressing room."

Mark Yeates: Winger
"A very, very good footballer and someone I've got a lot of time for.

"Very vain, always touching his hair and looking in mirrors. He thinks I haven't noticed but I have."

James Hanson: Striker
"Wears his boots on his head, but a good player. He's a bit thick... but he's a big, strong lad who defenders hate playing against and someone you want in your side."

Billy Clarke: Striker
"Another Irish lad. A good player, who plays well off James Hanson. He's someone I am quite close to around the training ground. A very funny lad."

Francois Zoko: Striker
"Zokes is on loan from Blackpool and hasn't played a lot.

"But considering that he's a great lad and brilliant to have around. He always encourages us to do well.

"He also has this naughty bit of hair on his chin, which is embarrassing, and it needs to come off."

Jon Stead: Striker
"I've known Jon for a long time, and was in the England Under-21s set-up with him.

"He's good lad and a good player who has come in and done very well for us since coming on loan from Huddersfield.

"He did brilliantly against Chelsea but he's a down-to-earth guy and he has kept working hard."
