The FA is supporting the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards (BEDSA), which take place in Coventry on Saturday night.
The inaugural event will reward excellence among black and minority ethnic (BME) sports men and women, and help to increase sports participation by all communities.
The award ceremony will be attended by 500 plus guests and nominees at Coventry City's Ricoh Arena.
The black and Asian minority ethnic (BAME) population has reached almost eight million – 14.1 per cent of the overall total in England and roughly the population of Scotland and Wales combined.
Huddersfield Town manager, Chris Powell, Sunil Birdy, the National Boccia Participation Manager and Annie Zaidi, Leicester City U-11s coach and member of the Black & Asian Coaches Association are all up for The FA sponsored 'Coach of the Year' category.
