Harry Kane was the hero as he tucked home a last-gasp equaliser to complete Tottenham Hotspur's comeback against West Ham United.
The Hammers had been leading at White Hart Lane from midway through the first half when Cheikhou Kouyate headed in. Then Diafra Sakho extended their much-deserved advantage just after the hour mark.
But when Danny Rose, who was in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the Norway and Switzerland games last September, pulled one back with his third of the season with nine minutes to go, it made for a nervy finish for the Hammers.
In-form Kane had already had the ball in the net when his side was two goals behind, but his close-range effort was ruled out for offside.
And, with the game deep into stoppage-time, a foul on the England Under-21s striker by Alex Song inside the box gave Spurs a life-line.
Up stepped Kane and, though his poor penalty was saved by West Ham keeper Adrian, he was the quickest to react to the rebound to tuck home and keep Spurs within three points of fourth spot in the Premier League.
It also extended Kane's impressive goalscoring figures to 24 goals in 37 games this season.
As well as Rose and Kane, there were three other England players in Mauricio Pochettino's side - Kyle Walker, Eric Dier and Andros Townsend all started.
Meanwhile, West Ham had Stewart Downing and Carl Jenkinson in their ranks as they remain eighth in the table.
At Goodison Park in Sunday's second game, Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka, John Stones, Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley were in the Everton line-up that also snatched a late 2-2 draw with Leicester City.
After a goalless first half, Scotland international Steven Naismith put the Toffees in front on 57 minutes, only to see his strike cancelled out by David Nugent six minutes later.
Nugent, who scored in his sole England senior appearance against Andorra in 2007, had only been on the pitch for two minutes when he pounced to level against his boyhood club.
Esteban Cambiasso looked to have grabbed three vital points for bottom-of-the-table Foxes, but Romelu Lukaku's header deflected in off former England defender Matthew Upson to salvage a point for Roberto Martinez's side with two minutes on the clock.
