And Dover Athletic boss Chris Kinnear is hoping that proves to be the case this weekend when he takes his side into an FA Trophy tie at Havant & Waterlooville.
The game comes less than a week after Dover’s FA Cup dreams were ended with a 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in front of a full house and live television audience.

But Kinnear has urged his players to quickly re-focus their Wembley ambitions on The Trophy, starting with Saturday's Second Round tie.
"We spoke about it with the players straight after the Palace game and we told them that they’ve got a chance to still get to Wembley," Kinnear told TheFA.com.
"It will probably be a Conference club that wins The Trophy, so why can’t it be us?
"We’ve got to push on from here. That’s what football is about, bouncing back from your disappointments.
"I’d like to think we can take the momentum from The FA Cup into The Trophy.
"As I’ve said to the lads, this isn’t the end, this is the beginning of something which will see us pushing forward because we have come a long way in two years."
The reverse against Alan Pardew’s side was Dover’s first defeat in 17 games, so there’s still plenty of belief left in the squad at the Crabble.
Kinnear knows it will be needed when they head to Westleigh Park, where they come face-to-face with a team who they narrowly edged out of the Conference South play-offs last season on their own way to promotion.
And given the attention placed upon the south coast club over the course of the last week, Kinnear doesn’t need any reminding that it will be a different scenario for his players this weekend.
"It will be completely different to last week, but for Havant & Waterlooville it will be a big game because we pipped them to the play-offs last year," he explained.
"They will be flying and down at their place, the pitch will be heavier because of all the rain we’ve been having.
"But we’ve had one disappointment from 17 games, so that’s not bad really.
"They’re still full of confidence and one knock-back shouldn’t really drag us down.
"If it does then, we’ve got to pick ourselves back up and move on to the next game which is on Saturday."
