Both Arsenal v Hull City and AFC Wimbledon v Liverpool pulled in 6.5m viewers each across the BBC while BT Sport broke the 1m barrier for Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Yeovil Town at Huish Park.
The televised stages of the competition began back in November with BBC and BT Sport reporting a 16% increase on viewers from the First Round onwards in comparison to last season’s FA Cup broadcast figures.
This week’s fixtures will see attendances break the 500,000 mark for the Third Round with seven replay ties including two for TV.
West Ham United meet Everton at Upton Park on BT Sport 1 on Tuesday night while on Wednesday Ipswich Town are at home to Southampton on BBC One.
Almost £4m in prize and live TV broadcast money will be distributed by The FA to competing clubs on completion of the Third Round.
