Fulham celebrate victory over Wolves

Fulham won a dramatic penalty shoot-out as they beat Wolves 5-3 to book an FA Cup Fourth Round trip to Sunderland.

On a night when Molineux paid tribute to their former owner Sir Jack Hayward who passed away, there was a six-goal thriller before the tie went to spot kicks

England Under-21s striker Cauley Woodrow headed the visitors in front to give them a deserved half-time lead.

Wolves hit back in style in the second half as goals from Dave Edwards and Rajiv van La Parra appeared to put them in the driving seat.

Then two minutes later Woodrow grabbed his second of the game to send the tie into extra time.

Edwards put Wolves back in front with his second when he flicked the ball home at the near post only.

But Fulham striker Ross McCormack converted a penalty in the last minute of extra-time to send the match the full distance.

The game went to penalties and Hugo Rodallega kept his nerve for Fulham to score the winner.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas was the hero for Bristol City as he scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers.

The former Arsenal forward was the difference between the two teams and City will be relishing the chance to host West Ham United in front of the television cameras at Ashton Gate on Sunday 25 January.

Emmanuel-Thomas opened the scoring on 36 minutes, reacting first after Aden Flint saw his close-range header pushed out by Doncaster keeper Marko Marosi.

Doncaster blew a golden chance to grab an equaliser on the stroke of half-time when James Coppinger's shot was cleared off the line by Mark Little.

And they were made to pay as Emmanuel-Thomas scored his second of the game on 79 minutes in spectacular fashion as he picked up the ball on the halfway line and raced towards goal before firing a left-footed shot into the corner of the net.

In the other tie which went to extra time, Chesterfield celebrated a 2-0 win over Scunthorpe thanks to a brace from left-back turned attacker Sam Clucas.
