Brocton have accepted that they are the underdogs as they travel to high flyers Tadcaster Albion in the Fourth Round of The FA Vase.
The Staffordshire club strolled through the last round with a 5-0 victory over Bolehall Swifts, but despite this huge win, they went on a three-game losing streak in the league after their cup triumph.
But Brocton were expected to struggle after getting promoted into the Midlands Premier Division.
Tadcaster Albion v Brocton
The FA Vase
Fourth Round Proper
3pm, Saturday 17 January
Inspire Park, Tadcaster Albion FC
Winning club will receive £2,000
That contrasts to Tadcaster, who are on fine form in the Northern Counties East Football League, where they are eight points clear at the top of the table.
Albion convincingly progressed through to this stage of the competition after defeating St Helens 4-2.
However, despite having a difficult season, Brocton manager David Berks sees The FA Vase as a welcome interruption to the league.
Berks said: "This tie does give us that added purpose. Also, the players do tend to deliver in the huge games, so for us it does give us that added determination.
"The lads go into the game with nothing to lose as we are the underdogs.
"My team will bring confidence from our 5-0 win in the last round, but they will remain grounded."
Brocton have studied their opponents and will look to take the game to the home side, rather than set up defensively.
Berks added: "We have had them watched and we have taken some advice from other teams in their league, so we have a game plan and we will stick to that.
"We will be going to win and we will not set out for the draw as I believe attack is the best form of defence for us."
