Denny Ingram and Carl Stewart gave Albion a 2-1 lead at half-time, and while they may have then been pegged back, Callum Ward made himself the hero by scoring the winning goal.

There were plenty of goals throughout Saturday’s ties, with Ascot United defeating Colliers Wood 4-2 after extra-time.

With the teams locked at 2-2, the tie went to extra-time and it was left to Joe Grant to fire a brace in the final four minutes to send Ascot through.

Holbeach United and Thurnby Nirvana were two other sides who enjoyed a goalfest, with Holbeach claiming a 4-3 win after extra-time.

In a flowing game, Jamie Clarke to nodded home the fourth and decisive goal deep into the additional 30 minutes.

There was also late drama on Saturday as St Austell ensured that Cornwall is still represented in this season’s FA Vase.

Fellow Cornwall side Bodmin may have gone down 2-0 to Phoenix Sports, but St Austell picked up a 3-2 win over Greenwich Borough to the delight of their travelling fans.

St Austell led on three occasions, but Liam Eddy’s second goal in the 79th minute finally booked their spot in the last 16.

Elsewhere, Bradford Town toppled Melksham Town 3-1 and Flackwell Heath also claimed a home win over Hullbridge Sports.

However, the adverse weather conditions took their toll on Saturday’s games as three ties were postponed.

Ashford United v Norwich United, Chadderton v AFC Mansfield and Worksop Town v Glossop North End all fell to the elements.
