Adam Marsh fired Erith & Belvedere into the last-16 of The FA Vase - the furthest the Kent club have reached in their history.
But the home side had their goalkeeper George Kamurasi to thank for a colossal display between the sticks.
There were just five minutes on the clock when Marsh hit what proved to be the decisive goal in the Fourth Round clash against Yaxley.

And they had to defend for their lives to protect the advantage.
When their back-line was breached, Ugandan Kamurasi refused to be beaten by the visitors, who had won 3-1 at Brantham Athletic in the previous round.
They were unable to repeat their trick on the road and were undone by the hosts' early winner.
Erith could not have wished for a better start as Byron Walker teed up Marsh to open the scoring.
Yaxley pressed hard for a route back into the game, and hit the post through Liam Hook’s effort on the half-hour mark.
Then it was Erith’s turn to hit the woodwork when Allan Matthews’ speculative volley crashed back off the bar.
But the Southern Counties East Premier Division outfit were soon back under pressure.
The Deres handed Yaxley the perfect opportunity to draw level two minutes before the break when David Cobb was felled in the box.
However, Kamurasi was equal to Rob Hughes’ penalty and Erith went in 1-0 up at the break.
Yaxley, who currently sit third in the United Counties Premier Division, continued to go forward after the interval, but once again were unable to find a way past Kamurasi.
In the 65th minute Dan Cotton found himself one-on-one but was thwarted by the resolute stopper. And, with just five minutes left, Kamurasi once again denied Cotton with another excellent save.
It proved to be the last real chance of the match and it was fitting that in-form Kamurasi should have had the final say.
Erith & Belvedere will be keen to see who they get in Monday's Fifth Round draw as they move one step closer to The Final at Wembley Stadium on 9 May.
