North Ferriby United will have to wait to discover who their next FA Trophy opponents will be after Ebbsfleet United and Braintree Town fought out a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night.

Conference South Fleet got off to a flier in their Third Round tie away at Cressing Road Stadium as Theo Lewis’ corner was converted by Adam Cunnington.

The Conference Premier opponents recovered before the break as they were awarded a penalty. Kenny Davis, on his 200th appearance for Braintree, stepped up to level the tie from the spot.

Both sides tried in vain to find a winner during the second half, but both failed to hit the target, meaning that they will face off again in a replay next Tuesday.

One man who will miss the tie is Fleet’s Joe Howe after he suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The winners will face North Ferriby on Saturday 7 February.
