The Blues boss watched his side secure a date at the National Stadium in the League Cup final as they defeated Liverpool 1-0 on Tuesday - sealing a 2-1 aggregate win over two legs.
"This is what we need. A final at Wembley means a lot," he said following the win.
"Let's go to Wembley. The Chelsea supporters were fantastic. The victory is for them."
In his previous spell in charge at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho led Chelsea to FA Cup glory in 2007, and he says another trip to play under The Arch will be a special occasion.
“This is what we need. I know Wembley always means a lot. Wembley is Wembley. The fans push us for Wembley."
Mourinho's men will face either Sheffield United or Tottenham Hotspur, who lead 1-0 after the first leg of their semi final, in the final on Sunday 1 March.
Spurs take their advantage to the Blades' Brammall Lane home on Wednesday for the second leg.
