Nathaniel Clyne is "like a sports car" according to new Liverpool team-mate Dejan Lovren.
Clyne followed his former Southampton colleague to Anfield at the beginning of July, and Lovren wasted no time in expressing his delight to be linking up again.
"I would describe Nathaniel as a sports car – he's quick, strong and an intelligent guy,” he told LiverpoolFC.com.
“I played with him at Southampton and I have only positive words about him.
“He's a great signing for us and I can't wait to see him playing on the pitch.”
Clyne joins fellow England internationals James Milner, Joe Gomez and Danny Ings as one of six new additions at Anfield.
It has been a busy summer for Brendan Rodgers, who has also overseen the acquisitions of Adam Bogdan and Roberto Firmino.
And Lovren is encouraged by the business done so far.
“It's a great pleasure to play with them because they're quality signings”

Liverpool are currently in Thailand at the start of their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.
The first match will be against Thai All Stars on Tuesday. From there they travel Down Under for fixtures against Brisbane Roar (17 July) and Adelaide United (20 July).
On the way home they complete the tour with a game in Kuala Lumpur against a Malaysia XI on Friday 24 July.
As well as the preparation fixtures, the travelling players have been meeting local fans and participating in community events.
When they return they have one more friendly – against HJK Helsinki – on 1 August, before taking on Stoke City in their first Premier League game of the season a week later.
