Manchester City have signed England midfielder Fabian Delph from last season’s FA Cup runners-up Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old has agreed a five-year deal at the Etihad.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini said: “Fabian Delph is an excellent player, and I am looking forward to working with him.
“He has made a huge impact in recent seasons at Aston Villa, and is now one of the brightest young midfielders in the Premier League.
“Fabian has tremendous skill and energy, and the fact that he has become a regular member of the England squad is further evidence of his progress over the past few seasons.
"At just 25 years old, he still has his best years ahead of him.”
Delph began his career at Leeds United, where he made 50 appearances between 2006 and 2009.
He then joined Villa and became an integral member of the first team. He was voted the club’s Player of the Year in 2013-14.
Last season Delph scored the crucial second goal in Villa’s FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool at Wembley.
The Bradford-born star made his England debut against Norway in September last year and he has gone on to earn six caps.
Delph is the second Three Lions international to join City this week, following their capture of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool.
