Perhaps the most eye-catching result came at Abingdon Town, where high-flying Doncaster Rovers Belles beat Oxford United by 5-2.
A hat-trick from Courtney Sweetman-Kirk saw the Belles sweep aside their hosts to go top of the table and remain in the hunt for promotion.

Bethany England opened the scoring for the Belles on 12 minutes after receiving the ball from Sweetman-Kirk, who had beaten Oxford goalkeeper Demi Lambourne to the ball.
Oxford fought back and Katherine Nutman equalised midway through the first-half – tapping in the rebound to Kayleigh Hines’ half-volley.
But the Belles regained the lead five minutes before half-time, Sweetman-Kirk latching on to Sophie Barker’s long ball and beating Lambourne with a wonderful lob.
Sweetman-Kirk fired in her second on 75 minutes after good play from Sue Smith and completed her treble moments later, before Doncaster’s Hobbs deflected the ball into her own net following Katie Stanley’s corner.
Sophie Stamp then made it five for the Belles with her first senior goal, chipping in from just outside the penalty area after Kasia Lipka's initial shot was initially saved.
Yeovil Town retained third spot in the table, after Natasha Knapman’s first-half header proved enough to beat Millwall Lionesses at Huish Park.
It was the Lady Glovers’ first game at Huish Park in two years and with an impressive 722 people in attendance, the Glovers secured the win.
The winner arrived just after the 20 minute mark following a lively start from the hosts, with Knapman heading home Sarah Wiltshire’s cross from the left hand side.
Yeovil came close to doubling their lead before half time but Annie Heatherson and Wiltshire were both denied by the woodwork, but for Millwall it was their fourth loss in a row.
At the other end of the table, Watford slipped to a 3-1 reverse at Durham, where Sarah Wilson atoned for an earlier error to fire her side to victory.
Watford were ahead inside 60 seconds when Anneka Nuttall took advantage of a mistake from Wilson.
But defender Wilson headed in twice either side of half time to put her side in front, with Courtney Corrie also on the scoresheet.
"It was a tough start. The ball got caught under my foot and I played the striker in," explained Wilson.
"It’s really tough, as a defender, to try and pick yourself back up but I knew how much the three points meant.
"It’s once in a blue moon [to score twice], but it was all about the three points. It was a huge win for us.
"That’s probably it for the rest of my career now. I’ve never done that before in a game but I’ll try to get more. I’ll just get up there for corners and go for it."
London Bees are aiming to move up the table themselves and didn’t waste any time in front of a record WSL crowd at the Hive of 738 against Aston Villa.
The Bees took the lead after just two minutes through Emma Whitter, before Emily Owen brought the visitors level.
But Ashleigh Goddard restored the lead and Julian Broomes’ side held on to pick up a much-needed second win of the campaign.
"The girls showed great character," said Broomes.
"We talked about it a lot and when we have got a team like this, that is so diverse and talented, sometimes there can be a bit of friction within the team.
"But we all pulled together and we know at Villa away, we went 1-0 up and we conceded two goals.
"We didn't want to do the same and we were just looking to finish off the game. Yet again, Ashleigh has popped up and done us proud."
