Glenn replaces Jonathan Hall as one of The FA’s two nominated Trustees on the seven-member board after Hall announced that he was stepping down following six years in the role with the UK’s largest sports charity.
The CEO now joins his FA colleague Roger Burden (Chairman of The FA National Game Board), Richard Scudamore (Executive Chairman of the Premier League),Peter McCormick OBE (Chairman of the Premier League Legal Advisory Group), the Rt Hon Richard Caborn (former Minister for Sport) and Rona Chester (Sport England CEO) on the new-look board.

"I am delighted to be joining the board of the Football Foundation," said Glenn.
"Having played and coached at the grassroots for many years, investing in better facilities and opening up opportunities to play the game is something that I am personally very passionate about.
"I look forward to continuing this vital work in the highly successful partnership we have developed with the Premier League and Government through the Foundation over the last 15 years."
The Foundation’s independent chairman is former CEO of Barclaycard and vice-chairman of Barclays, Gary Hoffman, who is currently CEO of Hastings Insurance Group.
He added: "On behalf of the Foundation board and all the executive staff, I would like to thank Jonathan Hall for everything he has done for football since he joined The FA in 2004, but especially for the time and effort he has given to his role as a Football Foundation Trustee since January 2009.
"It is now broadly accepted that the need for better facilities, together with improved coaching at the right levels, is the key challenge facing our national game at the grass roots level, and the Foundation’s role is to ensure that funding provided by the Premier League, The FA and the Government is properly and efficiently focused towards where it is most needed and where it will have the greatest impact.
"Jonathan has been a keen and enthusiastic advocate of the grassroots game and the Foundation’s work over the past six years, for which we are extremely grateful.
"At the same time, I would like to welcome Martin onto the Foundation board to help steer football’s capital investment plans, which is so important to the future of football in this country."
Hall, who is shortly leaving his role as Director of Football Services at The FA said: "It has been a huge privilege to have been a part of the Foundation and to have been involved in creating new and improved grassroots facilities both as a Foundation trustee and in my role at The FA.
"I look forward to seeing the Foundation’s fantastic work continue knowing that it is in the excellent hands of my fellow trustees as well as Paul Thorogood and his team."
