Delph began his career in the youth ranks at Valley Parade only to depart for Yorkshire rivals Leeds United at age 12.
And 12 years on from bidding the Bantams fair well, the Aston Villa midfielder admits he is keen for a reunion at the national stadium in April.

However, he is keen to point out such feelings are not fuelled by thoughts of revenge after Villa and Delph were defeated by the then League Two side in the League Cup Semi-Finals in 2013.
"I’d love Bradford, to be honest with you," he said after Villa’s Sixth Round win over Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion.
"Obviously I am born in Bradford but I’m a Leeds fan so I’d love to play Bradford in the next round.
"It is not so much revenge but we have a different game plan now and on a big pitch, we have a lot of energy in our legs.
"We have a lot of young players who can get around the pitch and it would be very enjoyable to play in."
Villa laboured through the first half of Saturday’s tie and we were probably fortunate to go in at the break on parity.
Delph was the first to admit that the Villains’ display in the first period was not up to scratch but feels manager Tim Sherwood’s positivity at the interval resulted in the home side’s transformation after the restart.
"First 45, we were sloppy but we came in at half time and got a talking to and we came out in the second half firing and got the win," he revealed.

"He [Sherwood] is a great guy, he’s always positive with the players.
"He always wants us to push on and he has a game plan for every game.
"I am pretty certain that if we stick to his game plans we will pick up three points when we play the games."
As Villa’s fortunes have fluctuated this season so have Delph’s, but the England midfielder believes he is now back to his best once more.
"I started my season well and managed to get into the England squad but then I popped my shoulder which was two months out," he reflected.
"Then I came back and got a red card so it has been up and down for me.
"But, the last few games I’ve finally got a bit of momentum behind me, my fitness seems to be very high at the minute so I’m very happy.
With another England fixture on the horizon, Delph hopes that his upturn in form can see him into Roy Hodgson’s squad for the clash with Lithuania later this month.
"If it happens then great," he said.
"It was great for me, I really enjoyed it so if I get selected again then happy days and if not then I will just try to take it game by game and try to get back in there."
