Canada will be familiar opposition for Mark Sampson’s side, with the pair last having met in the final of England’s successful Cyprus Cup campaign on Wednesday 11 March.
A Lianne Sanderson strike was the difference between the two on the day, and England will be hoping for a repeat performance as they fine-tune their preparation for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Assistant coach Marieanne Spacey said the fixture will be perfect preparation for the challenges ahead.
"The game will be an ideal test leading into the group stages of the World Cup," said Spacey.
"Canada are one of the top teams in the World and with them being the host nation for the tournament, this game will be an opportunity for them to gather further momentum on the pitch and off it going into the tournament.
"The game will also give us an opportunity to play a top nation and to experience as close as possible the environment and excitement of the tournament before we take on France in June."
The World Cup kicks off on Saturday 6 June when Canada take on China in Edmonton.
England’s campaign gets under way in Moncton, where they play France on Tuesday 9 June.
Following that they take on Mexico – again in Moncton – on Saturday 13 June, before finishing the group phase in Montreal against Colombia on Wednesday 17 June.
Before the Lionesses head to North America, they face China at Manchester City’s Academy Stadium.
The game takes kicks-off 7.30pm on Thursday 9 April. Tickets are available and priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. Click here for more information.
