Women's U23s lose to Sweden in Nordic Tournament

Manchester City loanee Nikita Parris pulled a goal back for England

England Women’s Under-23s were undone by three first-half goals in their second match of the Nordic Tournament.

The Young Lions lost to host nation Norway in their opening match of the annual competition.

And they suffered the same fate against Sweden on Friday.

The Scandinavians raced into an unassailable three-goal lead before the break.

Nikita Parris pulled one back in the 69th minute, but Julie Chipchase’s side were unable to complete the comeback.

England’s final match is against USA on Sunday.
