In difficult conditions at Alder Street, the North West Counties League Premier Division side overcame their First Division opponents 3-0.
When Jordan Cover got the ball rolling with a header inside the first quarter of an hour, Colls never looked back.
Though the score remained at 1-0 at the break, Mark Battersby made it 2-0 on 72 minutes with a cool near post finish in ever-worsening conditions.
In the final minute of the game Cover scored his second for Atherton to effectively seal the match.
The scoreline was rather harsh on Chaddy who were competitive throughout the fixture, but it is Atherton who progress along the road to Wembley and will travel to County Durham to play Newton Aycliffe in December.
