Marske United turned on the style as they swept aside Runcorn Linnets to win 6-2 and set up a clash with either Guisborough Town or Team Northumbria in the third round of The FA Vase.
Jamie Owens was the hero for the hosts with a brilliant hat-trick, but they had to come from behind after Kurt Sherlock’s classy 19th-minute lob from just outside the area.
But Owens levelled things up 14 minutes later, latching on to a through ball before jinking past one defender and dinking the ball over Dean Porter to make it 1-1.

And the same man struck once more before the break to turn the tie on its head, firing home from 10 yards after exchanging passes with Glen Butterworth.
It was an end-to-end start to the second half with the next goal vital, and it came for Marske after Porter mishit his clearance straight to Craig Gott who slid in Adam Preston to make it 3-1.
Nathan Mulligan blasted Luke Bythway’s free-kick into the roof of the net to make the result certain, before Jason Carey hit back for Runcorn with a powerful strike on 65 minutes.
But there was still time for Owens to finish off his treble just one minute later, and Preston completed the rout eight minutes from time with a belting strike into the top corner from 20 yards.
Elsewhere, both South Shields and Hullbridge Sports relied on extra-time goals to edge past Consett and Norwich United respectively.
Adam Sakr struck for Shields 14 minutes into the additional 30 to spark scenes of wild celebration among the hundreds of visiting supporters, with their side having now won their last 18 games.
And Sam Taylor’s free-kick won it for Hullbridge in a tense clash, as Alsager Town also breezed past AFC Mansfield to win 3-1 – goals by Michael Machin, Jonathan Beaumont and Jonathan Jones giving Alsager a commanding half-time lead.
The evening’s other three scheduled fixtures were all postponed, with Broxbourne Borough v Greenhouse Sports now due to be played on Thursday 26 November, while Highgate United v Nuneaton Griff and Tadcaster Albion v Worksop Town will meet the following Tuesday.
