Nathan Fisher helps Spenny hit Goole for six in FA Trophy

Nathan Fisher landed the matchball as Spennymoor Town hit Goole for six to march through in the FA Trophy first round qualifying.

Fisher opened the scoring after 10 minutes and although Alex Varley soon equalised for Goole, Fisher had his second on 15 minutes.

He completed his hat-trick on the half-hour, though their lead was once again cut before half-time, with Anthony Mackie on target for Goole.

But after the break Spennymoor upped the ante with goals from Lewis Hawkins, Danny Frost and Gavin Cogdon rendering Bobby Johnson’s 90th-minute penalty scant consolation in a 6-3 defeat.

Hyde United forced a home replay after a 3-3 draw with Skelmersdale United.

The hosts led twice in the contest at Stormy Corner, but Tony Rendell’s stunning 92nd-minute volley left them licking their wounds.

Two goals apiece from Lee Chilton and Ben Mackey helped Leamington march into the second round qualifying with a 6-1 victory over Barwell.

Jack Edwards had got the ball rolling with a sixth-minute opener and, after doubles from Chilton and Mackey, Will Green completed the scoring.

East Thurrock United stormed past South Park with a 4-0 victory. Lewis Smith, Mitchell Gilbey and Ryan Scott all struck in the first half, before Harry Honesty completed the scoring two minutes from time.

Kevant Serbony bagged a hat-trick as Corinthian-Casuals defeated Redbridge 4-1. The Essex side had taken the lead through a Warren Morgan own goal on 33 minutes.

But they were behind by half-time, with Cherno Mendy levelling before Serbony struck twice. And Serbony completed his hat-trick on 71 minutes to ensure the Casuals progress.

Bognor Regis Town came out of the hat second against East Grinstead Town, but the tie was switched to their home pitch due to a local fireworks display and they took full advantage with a 3-0 win.

Didcot Town were unable to repeat their FA Cup heroics in the FA Trophy, going down 1-0 to Molesey with Ollie Robinson on target.

On Friday night, FA Cup first round entrants Salford City suffered a 2-1 defeat at Nantwich Town and Kettering Town ensured their progress with a 1-0 victory at St Ives Town.

Kingstonian were 5-1 winners at Leatherhead, while Enfield Town put four past Leighton Town without reply.

Ashton United and Ramsbottom United will have to do it all again after a 2-2 draw.
