The Tottenham Hotspur striker played at the Olympic Stadium in 2013, and came away with the match-ball after scoring a hat-trick for England Under-21s in a 4-0 victory over San Marino.
And even though that game was almost two years ago, Kane admits he still has vivid memories of it as Gareth Southgate’s side were starting out in their qualifying campaign for the Euro Finals.
"It was my first Under-21 start, so I remember it well," Kane told TheFA.com
"It’s nice to score a hat-trick at any level, no matter who the team is, it was special."
Roy Hodgson’s squad arrived in the republic, situated in northern Italy, on Friday afternoon ahead of the game on Saturday evening.
And whilst there is sure to be a bigger crowd in place at the Olympic Stadium than the handful of fans present on that nippy October evening, Kane believes those memories can only help should he be involved.
"I do remember that game quite clearly," he admitted.
"So hopefully, if I’m involved, it’d be great to do well there again and I’m sure that experience will help me in this game."
