Fletcher scored the only goal of the first half but was joined on the scoresheet by Helen Ward and Rachel Rowe after the interval.
Ellie Mason did score for the hosts in between Ward’s and Rowe’s strikes but it was not enough to prevent Watford from suffering a 14th league defeat of the season – and Fletcher is only concerned for her own team’s hopes.

“We’re definitely happy with the win,” she said. “We said in the changing room before we came out that three points was the minimum here.
“Goals on top of that would be a bonus because obviously the league may come down to that. But three points was the minimum and we’re delighted to get them.
“For me that’s two goals in two games now. I was facing away from goal so I just had to make sure I knew where my bearings were and get it on the volley, and luckily for me it went straight into the bottom corner.
“Preparation for the Millwall game won’t be any different to any other. We all know what we’re there to do, and that’s to get another three points. That’s all we want.”
Mason’s goal gave Watford hope at 2-1 only for Reading to do down the other end and score almost immediately, with the home striker ruing her side’s concentration at that moment.
“I think overall we had quite a good, solid game but there were times where Reading got the better of us and they scored some good goals,” Mason said.
“But I don’t think we were concentrating when we pulled a goal back, and they went and scored again. We weren’t turned on for that.
“They are a good team. We did really well at times but they were better than us.
“Their two centrebacks were really strong; they’re two good players. If I had the right balls at the right times I could have done more.
“I managed to get past them quite a few times but overall they were solid defensively.”
