Anselem Musibau bags treble to see Barking through

Anselem Musibau helped himself to a hat-trick as Barking progressed to the FA Youth Cup second round qualifying with a 5-3 victory over FC Clacton.

Clacton had been reinstated to the competition after Barking were found to have used too many substitutes in their original tie.

And they made the most of their second life when Reece Tomlin edged them in front. But by half-time Tomlin had seen red and the ten men trailed 4-1.

Despite second-half goals from Steven Bruff and Ben Justice, Barking progressed to face Thurrock with Ryan Hippolyte and Alec Monk adding to Musibau’s treble.

At Ewen Fields, Hyde United swept past Vauxhall Motors with a 3-1 victory.

Zeekel Parkes, Daniel Pemberton and Louis Holt struck for the home side to set up a second round meeting with Ashton Athletic.
