England’s opposition at the 2016 UEFA European Under-17 Championship will be confirmed when the finals draw takes place in host nation Azerbaijan on Friday.
The Young Lions sealed their qualification at the end of last month thanks to victories over Turkey and Finland in Chesterfield and Leek respectively. England and Ukraine then played out a 1-1 draw in Burton knowing both had already secured their places at this summer’s finals.

Having topped group two of the elite qualifying round, Steve Cooper’s team joins 15 others in heading to Azerbaijan in May:
Group 1: Denmark, Scotland
Group 2: Ukraine, England
Group 3: Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Group 4: Germany, Netherlands
Group 5: Portugal, Sweden
Group 6: France, Austria
Group 7: Serbia
Group 8: Belgium, Spain
Hosts: Azerbaijan
The draw is scheduled to take place at 9am GMT on Friday 8 April.
