Dominic Iorfa is set for a return to his home county of Essex next month when England Under-21s face a crucial Euro Qualifier with Norway.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers defender was born in Southend, just a short trip away from Colchester, where Gareth Southgate’s side will be in action.
There are just three games remaining for England in Group 9, with a trip to Kazakhstan and a home game against Bosnia & Herzogivina to follow in October, so the clash with Norway gives the Three Lions chance to put themselves in a strong position.

And after being named in Southgate’s squad for the game, following his involvement during the victorious Toulon Tournament earlier this summer, Iorfa is ready to get back into international action.
"We have two of the three at home, so we need to take advantage of it,” he said, speaking to the official England match programme for the game.
"Going to Kazakhstan, that could end up being a tough game so we’ve got these two home matches coming up and we’ve just got to get the job done.
"If we do that, then we have another tournament to prepare for next summer."
Iorfa faces a trip to Huddersfield Town with Wolves at the weekend before the U21s squad meet up next week to begin their preparations.
And the former Southend United youngster admits he’s enjoying his time at Molineux, where new ownership and a new boss in Walter Zenga has given the West Midlands club some early momentum in the Championship.
"It’s exciting times, I’m enjoying it with a new owner and a new manager," added Iorfa.
"It’s been a good few weeks, the new manager seems decent so I’m just getting used to what he wants, so it’s good.
"The club is moving in the right direction and it’s good to be a part of it."
