The FA has appointed Mark Burrows as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Burrows, who takes up his new position with immediate effect, has been covering the role since the summer when he stepped up as interim CFO after joining the organisation in March 2016.
He has a wealth of experience across a number of different sectors. Most recently he was the Group CFO of health and fitness chain Virgin Active. Immediately before this he worked alongside FA CEO Martin Glenn for seven years at Iglo, the owner of leading brands including Birds Eye. Prior to these roles he held senior finance roles with Virgin Mobile and BSkyB. He qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC.
Glenn said: "I am delighted to be welcoming Mark to The FA on a permanent basis. During his time with the team this year, he has made significant progress in a short space of time helping us to further strengthen our finance team and the financial position of The FA.
"Having worked with Mark previously I know he is looking forward to the challenge and will play a key role in the senior management team to help deliver the vision I have set out for the organisation over the coming years."
