FA Women’s Super League 2 side Bristol City have signed Ellie Wilson from Reading.
The England U19s defender progressed from the Royals’ academy and development teams and made her first-team debut in 2014.
Wilson said: “I am really excited to be joining Bristol City this season.
“It is a great opportunity for me to be involved in what promises to be a great season for the club and I can’t wait to get started.”
Vixens boss Willie Kirk added: “I'm really excited about Ellie's signing.
“She has enormous potential and I'm hoping to be able to play a big part in shaping her future career and helping her to develop into the player that she wants to be.
“Her progress in the last six months has been fantastic and I’ve watched her performances with England U19s very closely, and I know that the national staff think very highly of her.
“Like most of the squad, Ellie is very versatile and in her case, will give us options in both full-back positions and at centre-back.
“She is very athletic and is continually improving her technical skills.
“Full-time training will help her massively and she will improve tactically as she is exposed to more matches at club and international level."
Wilson is in the Young Lionesses squad for next week’s friendly against Norway at St. George’s Park.
