The decision to move Evesham United from the Southern League to the Northern Premier League has been overturned by an FA Appeal Board.
The move came as a direct result of Cinderford Town refusing promotion to the Southern League Premier after winning the league.
Evesham appealed on the grounds that the Leagues Committee failed to apply the regulations correctly and came to a decision that no reasonable body should have reached.
The appeal was upheld as the National League System regulations states that the team coming first in the division will be promoted. The Board found that the Cinderford Town, under the regulations, had no discretion to refuse promotion.
The decision of the appeal board is final and binding.
