England U19s lose final match in La Manga Tournament

Mo Marley's side face three Euro qualifiers in April

England ended their La Manga Tournament campaign with a 3-0 defeat by Denmark.

The Young Lionesses lost to Netherlands last Thursday and were narrowly beaten by USA on Saturday.

And they were unable to get a foothold in the final match against the Scandinavians.

Denmark took the lead on 25 minutes and grabbed a crucial second just before the break.

And they sealed the win with just two minutes remaining.

England were using this annual friendly tournament as preparation for their Euro qualifiers next month.

They face Austria, Belgium and Sweden in a round-robin series of matches and the top-placed team in the group will advance to the Euro finals which are being staged in Slovakia in July.

Substitutes: 5 Sophie Stamp for Rouse 57, 7 Keira Walsh for Peplow 57, 10 Evie Clarke for Loomes 57, 14 Gabrielle George for Primus 57, 15 Rinsola Babajide for Green 57, 9 Jenna Legg replaced Keira Walsh 80.

Substitutes not used: 1 Sian Rogers, 2 Emma Kelly, 6 Leah Williamson.
