England Women’s Under-17s opened their Euro Finals campaign with a 3-2 win over Norway.
John Griffiths’s side, who eased into Belarus 2016 by winning five of their six qualifiers, took the lead just after the quarter-hour mark through Liverpool midfielder Niamh Charles with her sixth goal in seven Euro matches.
Chelsea forward Alessia Russo doubled the lead on 36 minutes. Remarkably, it was her 10th goal in this year’s Euro campaign.
