Barcelona are to return to St. George’s Park for a training camp between 25-30 July.
The Champions League holders trained at the facility during the summer of 2014 and were suitably impressed to return again during the forthcoming pre-season.
Barca, who will retain their La Liga crown with victory over Granada next Saturday, will spend five days at SGP with their first-team squad as they prepare for the new campaign.
St. George’s Park general manager Holly Murdoch said: “I am absolutely thrilled that we have once again been able to attract Barcelona to come and train at St. George’s Park.
“We’ve been lucky enough to have already welcomed over 150 clubs to our facilities since we opened in 2012, and I truly believe that the return of Barcelona is proof of our growing reputation as an inspirational sports facility both at home and abroad.”
After the five days at SGP, Barcelona’s expedition will travel directly to Dublin to open their pre-season schedule on 30 July against Celtic - their first game in this summer’s International Champions Cup.
Their pre-season will also involve games against new Premier League champions Leicester City and Europa League finalists Liverpool.
