Jason Cowley bagged a double as Bromsgrove Sporting cruised into the third round of the Buildbase FA Vase with a 3-1 victory over Lichfield City on Sunday.
The Rouslers have now completed the league and cup double over their opponents after a 1-0 victory at the McDonald’s Community Stadium at the end of the month in which Cowley scored the only goal.
Reece Hewitt was the other man on the scoresheet for Bromsgrove and they are now into the third round and looking to better their previous FA Vase record of reaching the third round in 2014 where they lost 2-1 to Thurnby Nirvana.
Elsewhere, Paget Rangers’ fairy-tale run came to an end as Ryan Seal inspired Hinckley to a 4-1 win.
Seal bagged a hat-trick and made the fourth for Paul Sullivan in front of 311 fans, although Darren Michael did bag a consolation for Paget.
Danny Fernandez scored both goals for Sporting Club Thamesmead as they downed Sutton Common Rovers 2-1.
And Abbey Rangers have made the third round for the first time in their club history after beating Epsom & Ewell 3-2.
