Young Lions to take on Les Bleus in Paris on Monday 14 November

England Under-21s beat France by 2-1 in the Toulon final last summer

England Under-21s will face France next month as they continue their preparations for the Euro Finals.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side will travel to the Stade Robert Bobin in Bondoufle, just outside of Paris, for the clash with Les Bleus on Monday 14 November.

It follows on from the match against Italy at Southampton’s St. Mary’s Stadium the previous week on Thursday 10 November and will be the final match of 2016 for Boothroyd’s squad.

The Young Lions secured their place at next summer’s Euros in Poland earlier in October, with victories over Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina sealing top spot in their qualifying group.

And this game, at a venue which normally hosts women’s team FCF Juvisy, will pit them against a French side who narrowly missed out on a play-off spot for the Euros in their qualifying group.

“We have two very difficult games against Italy and then France,” said Boothroyd.

“This is what we want, to test ourselves against those sort of nations.

“As soon as the final whistle went in Walsall last month, we were already thinking about the preparations for next summer and trying to make sure we finish off the year with two more good performances.”
