Shoreham pulled off the display of the day in the Buildbase FA Vase second round qualifying as they put ten goals past the unfortunate Oakwood – with eight of those coming in the first half.
The Musselmen dominated from start to finish, with Robert O’Toole finding the net in the first minute, the opening strike in his 32-minute hat-trick, three of seven in the same period.
It was to get even better when Freddie Barker added a ninth shortly after the break, with Jamie Craddock the man to take Shoreham to double figures just a minute before the end, compounding a miserable afternoon for the Sussex County League side.

Elsewhere, goals were also aplenty in Westfields, with all eight coming for the home side as Craig Jones was the hat-trick hero against Dudley Sports.
With the game 2-0 at half-time, Richard Greaves settled the game with an audacious lob, before Anderson Ongono secured his first goal for the club on a perfect afternoon for the Hereford-based side, earning a place in the Buildbase FA Vase first round proper.
It wasn’t to be for Fleet Spurs, however, whose manager Sam Knowles was in the starting XI the last time they reached this phase in 2010-11, as Fairford Town proved too strong with a 3-1 victory.
Lee Smith converted a Josh Morse cross to put the visitors ahead on the cusp of half-time, with Jack Ellis doubling the advantage and Morse adding a goal of his own, shortly after Knowles himself had scored from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile, Ely City prevailed in the East Anglian derby as substitute Mason Newman’s goal direct from the corner proved the final strike in a 4-2 victory over Diss Town.
Alex Theobold, Kelvin Onaro and James Seymour were also on target as the Cambridgeshire side took their place in the first round.
There were comebacks aplenty in the second round qualifying where Corinthian came from two goals down to prevail against Sevenoaks Town, and New Mills fought back from 3-0 down to force extra time against Radford – thought it was Radford who stole the tie with a 4-3 extra-time success.
It was an enthralling day all round in the Buildbase FA Vase, an afternoon which saw Abingdon United pick up an impressive 3-2 win at Oxford City Nomads, while Connor Doe’s double helped Bemerton Heath Harlequins to victory over Longwell Green Sports.
Finally, Haverhill Borough got the better of the local derby on Friday night, with more than 600 fans on hand to watch the narrow victory over Haverhill Rovers.
